  Every time they have the 8 piece chicken for $5.00 I go there after work only to find that the chicken has been already pre-ordered and there is a 40 minute wait for the next batch. However, when I try to call the Deli to place an order no one answers the phone! I have been trying to call them for 30 minutes and no one will pick up the phone! 01/27/17 at 12:40 PM

  This is Safeway took some getting used to, but now I love it. Customer service is wonderful, and if you go early, and check the dairy case, you'll find some terrific deals. Be sure to use things quickly on those deals though, because they are short-term. There's a very lovely woman named Judy, I believe, who works in that section, who's always willing to help. I have gone in to ask for help with items, and they were sold out on $5 Friday, but that's not unusual at any Safeway anywhere on Oahu. The cashier will write you up a rain check. The bakery area also has nice customer service, and they do their best. It's a very busy section.
  
  I actually feel bad for the deli people when it's $5 Friday and the chicken goes on sale. The simple laws of physics do not allow for more chicken to be cooked at one time than is safe. And it's a popular item. Unless there's a complete revamping of the kitchen and the deli takes over at least twice as much space, I don't see it getting any better anytime soon. Best bet is to go in early, about noon if you can, and pick it up. Other than that, if you plan to do this in the evening on $5 Friday, head for the deli first, put your name in, and then do your shopping. Wait time is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, so be prepared. They will try to tell you the time so you know when to head back to the deli counter. However, kudos to the deli people for trying to put the best face on it they can. They are genuinely pleasant, if you're reasonably decent to them.
  
  The tiny floral shop in the corner when you first enter on the far right entrance provides a surprisingly great amount of customer service. They do helium-filled mylar balloons, custom arrangements, and bouquets. Reasonable prices, and very nice suggestions.
  
  There are more sales here than you would think. Make sure to use the Safeway app to take advantage of scan deals, and also some specials that they will send you as loss leader items to get you in the store. You can save quite a bit by using those.
  
  Accepts credit cards.
  
  Restroom available, but it isn't exactly your sparkling clean as home kind of restroom. If you're desperate, yeah, this is okay. At least it's here, and you don't have to turn in your ID or firstborn to use it, like at other grocery stores in this area.
  
  Free and plentiful parking.
  
  Recommend for the excellent customer service, and for the more frequent deals.
